U.S. operator Sprint has significantly improved 3G service in Puerto Rico and also expanded 4G service by launching its LTE network in Aguadilla, Isabela, Cabo Rojo and Mayagüez. These cities are in addition to Ponce, Coamo and Guayama – which have offered LTE since 2012.

In addition to these cities in Western Puerto Rico, today Sprint also launched 4G LTE service in: Austin, Texas; Boston; College Station/Bryan, Texas; Columbia, Tenn.; Emporia, Kan.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Framingham, Mass.; and Gettysburg, Pa.

Sprint’s network buildout, known as Network Vision, not only delivers 4G LTE but also is expected to provide 3G customers better wireless signal strength, in-building coverage, and fewer dropped/blocked calls. These 3G improvements are already available to customers in several cities across the country, such as Baltimore, Boston, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.

Sprint introduced its LTE network in July 2012 and now offers service in 58 markets.
