Sri Lanka’s telecom operator, Lanka Bell has officially announced 4G LTE connectivity in the country, following a successful test run since the end of last year. It was in line with a promise made last year to the company’s over one million subscribers.

Lanka Bell 4G is initially available in parts of Colombo and Greater Colombo such as Grandpass, Colpetty, Maradana, Hulftsdorp, Orugodawatta, Dematagoda, Nawala, Maharagama, Kadawatha, Kotahena, Mahabage, Borella, Ragama, Wattala, Kadawatha, Kottawa, Battaramulla, Peliyagoda, Crow’s Island, etc. Blanket coverage for the entire Colombo city is scheduled before the forthcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
