Tata Elxsi has announced the availability of its optimized LTE Femto/Pico eNodeB solution compliant to 3GPP Release 8 and Femto Forum specifications.

Tata Elxsi has announced the availability of its optimized LTE Femto/Pico eNodeB solution compliant to 3GPP Release 8 and Femto Forum specifications. The LTE Femto / Picocell reference design comprises 3GPP Release 8 compliant L2/L3 stack and PHY layer integrated with Radio.

According to Tata Elxsi, It’s solution supports industry standard channel bandwidths and MIMO configurations, and has been optimized to provide market-leading performance and reduced latency.

Tata Elxsi also announced another Tier-1 OEM win for a complete residential LTE Femto NodeB reference solution. This includes Layer 1 software and complete L2/L3 protocol stack software from Tata Elxsi.

The latest customer win adds to a client roster for Tata Elxsi LTE software that includes network equipment providers, original design manufacturers and radio equipment vendors located in North America, Europe, Japan and South Asia, said the company in a statement.

“Effective use of on-chip hardware accelerators and customization of Linux kernels for real time response ensures significant performance and cost benefits as compared to other solutions”, said Rajagopalan R., Chief Wireless Architect at Tata Elxsi.

“As part of our product roadmap we are committed to support our customers with feature enhancements and updates to provide differentiated performance. Customers can leverage Tata Elxsi software, services and integration expertise to enable early product deployment into the rapidly growing Femto and Picocell market”, said Nitin Pai, VP – Marketing, Tata Elxsi.
