Algérie Télécom, Nokia Announce Commercial LTE Network Deployment in Algeria

Nokia has deployed commercial LTE network in Algeria for the state-owned operator, Algérie Télécom. Under the contract, Nokia provided its Single RAN Advanced solution based on its Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station for the LTE network.

Nokia also deployed its cloud-ready NetAct for network management across technologies. The company provided network planning and optimization, network implementation, and care services such as hardware and software services as well for network rollout. In addition, Nokia provided a security solution, which included a solution from Juniper Networks, in order to protect both the operator’s network assets and end users’ privacy.

According to Nokia, it currently has 141 LTE and TD-LTE network references worldwide. Nokia has also supplied three commercially launched LTE-Advanced networks. The company’s track record is based on platforms like the multi-technology, modular and weatherproof Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station and the Liquid Radio LTE Software Suite and Smart Scheduler to maximize performance and optimize the use of radio spectrum.
