CommScope is bringing a comprehensive line-up of broadband, wireless and enterprise solutions—including its recently expanded and now PON (Passive Optical Network) compatible BrightPath solution—to the upcoming ANGA Cable Show in Cologne, Germany, and The Cable Show 2010 in Los Angeles.

Reflecting the company’s evolution from broadband cable supplier to a multi-market connectivity solutions provider, CommScope’s booth will include a variety of innovative solutions for wired and wireless, enterprise structured cabling, and broadband networks.

“The Broadband Solutions group’s fiber-to-the-premises, hybrid fiber coax, and subscriber drop solutions will take center stage in CommScope’s booth, given the focus of these shows,” said Ted Hally, executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “We have also added product information from CommScope’s Andrew Solutions and Enterprise Solutions business units, reflecting the convergence and overlap of network types and applications in today’s communications industry.”
Operators continually confront challenges to connect more users at lower cost and greater efficiency. Technologies are evolving in all industries—such as fiber-to-the-premises and cellular backhaul in the broadband market; LTE and mobile WiMAX in wireless; and 10 gigabit per second and intelligent building solutions in enterprise—to support business as well as residential customers. Bandwidth demands continue to skyrocket as users access more data-intensive services and applications.
“Leveraging the experience and expertise of CommScope’s engineers in broadband, wireless, and enterprise helps us offer customers insight into market and technology evolutions,” said Hally. “That is among the reasons why MSOs, wireless operators, enterprise owners, and global OEMs work with CommScope for the next generation of innovations to meet their goals.”
Some of CommScope’s broad portfolio of solutions, systems, and products will be showcased via innovative touchscreen technology at the company’s exhibits:
•    Broadband Solutions will showcase its expanded BrightPath® optical solution, which adds 1610 nm capable R-ONUs compatible with IEEE/ITU based PON solutions, and Euro DOCSIS based R-ONUs compatible with European cable systems. Broadband Solutions will also highlight advances in its MoCA optimized Signal Vision® subscriber drop solutions, A.I.M. 2.0 – the next generation of

inventory management, “green” and efficient hydrogen fuel cell back up power options, and fiber backhaul solutions for cable operators.

•    Andrew Solutions will display its SmartBeam® next generation agile network antenna, GeoLENsâ„¢ wireless and wireline location, InSite Connectâ„¢ remote cell site control and monitoring, and Comsearch® spectrum management solutions, among others.

•    Enterprise Solutions will highlight its SYSTIMAX 360â„¢ next generation structured cabling solution among its innovative line of fiber, copper, in-building wireless and intelligent infrastructure solutions for data centers, campuses and building environments.

The ANGA Cable Show is an international trade fair for the cable broadband and satellite industries, which will take place May 4-6, 2010 in Cologne, Germany. Show attendees can find CommScope in booth B41.

The Cable Show 2010 is organized by the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and takes place May 11-13, 2010, in Los Angeles, California. In the CableNET technology showcase, CommScope will display its hydrogen fuel cell technology and BrightPath optical solutions for cellular backhaul and business services applications, while show attendees can explore CommScope’s entire solutions portfolio in booth 2239 on the main floor. CommScope is also proud to partner with NCTA to provide the infrastructure cabling supporting the communications network used in the My World – Powered by Cable exhibit, a virtual world of buildings, neighborhoods, and living spaces that brings to life the connective power of cable.
