Huawei showcased 4×4 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) carrier aggregation solution for LTE TDD at the Huawei-hosted 2012 Global Analyst Summit in Shenzhen, China. According to the company, this solution allows the peak data rate for a single end user to reach up to 520Mbps.

At the summit, Huawei demonstrated solutions for terminals and 4T4R (4 Transmitter 4 Receiver) RRUs (Remote Radio Unit). Huawei showed Analysts the advanced processing ability of its LTE TDD products and solutions with peak data rates of up to 520Mbps.

Carrier aggregation and MIMO are leading technologies utilized to improve utilization of spectrum and network capacity in order to provide subscribers with a better mobile data experience.

In 2011, Huawei announced the GigaSite solution to help operators ease network capacity pressure. The 4×4 MIMO carrier aggregation solution for LTE TDD based on Huawei’s GigaSite concept can meet end users’ demand of higher data speeds, said the company.
