LG’s LTE modem approved by the FCC

FCC has approved a new LTE USB modem from LG. LG VL600 is approved with support for CDMA EVDO 850/1900MHz and LTE 700MHz. 

FCC has approved a new LTE USB modem from LG. LG VL600 is approved with support for CDMA EVDO 850/1900MHz and LTE 700MHz. 

LG VL600 could be among the first modems to access Verizon’s LTE broadband network. Verizon Wireless is rumored to begin roll out its LTE network starting on November 15th this year. Initialy Verizon Wireless is expected to launch LTE services with data only devices.

Verizon Wireless is currently doing friendly user trials of LTE in five unnamed cities. Verizon Wireless has already said to commercially launch its LTE 4G network in 25 to 30 markets in 2010, covering 100 million people. 

According to phonescoop report this is the first LTE device approved for use in the U.S.
