MegaFon and Rostelecom have successfully tested their Fourth Generation LTE network close to the major Sochi 2014 site, Roza Khutor. MegaFon and Rostelecom are General Partners of the XXII Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2014 in Sochi.
The successful tests saw data transmission rates reach up to 100 Mbps. 4G network tests were done in difficult mountainous conditions of the popular ski resort.

Company statement said that 4G network tests were made by MegaFon and Rostelecom and supported by major global manufacturers of mobile and telecommunication equipment however suppliers were not named.
