Omnitel Starts Offering LTE-Advanced Services

Lithuanian mobile operator has announced that it is providing LTE connectivity to 80 percent of the country’s population now. Additionally, Omnitel began offering 4G + LTE-Advanced services in the five largest cities in the country in December.

In 2015, Omnitel plan to go further and increase 4G coverage area using the 800 MHz band and increase the deployment of 4G+ LTE-Advanced technology. 

Earlier last year, in June Omnitel began offering 4G LTE roaming services in five foreign countries, and from November operator started to provide 4G LTE service to Omnitel prepaid “Hedgehog” and Omnitel Extra users.
