Rogers Announces LTE Roaming to Switzerland

Canada’s Rogers Communications has signed a new agreement with Switzerland’s Swisscom to deliver bilateral LTE roaming to customers of both mobile service providers. As of July 31st, Rogers and Swisscomm customers travelling with a 2600 MHz device can have LTE service while in Canada or Switzerland.

As of July 31st, Rogers and Swisscomm customers travelling with a 2600 MHz device can have LTE service while in Canada or Switzerland.

Switzerland joins Hong Kong and South Korea as the third international market where Rogers customers can access LTE speeds while roaming. This service launch also allows Swisscom customers to access Rogers LTE speeds when roaming in Canada. Rogers plans to launch LTE roaming in additional countries in 2013.

According to operator, its LTE network currently covers roughly 65 per cent of Canadian populations.
