Si.mobil Starts Commercial LTE Services in Slovenia

Slovenia’s mobile operator, Si.mobil has announced launch of its commercial LTE services. Si.mobil is a part of international telecommunication group Telekom Austria. Operator is currently offering LTE services in Ljubljana, Brnik, and Bled. 

Slovenia’s mobile operator, Si.mobil has announced launch of its commercial LTE services. Si.mobil is a part of international telecommunication group Telekom Austria. Operator is currently offering LTE services in Ljubljana, Brnik, and Bled. 

According to Si.mobil, last year it conducted the big overhaul of its network, which now offers faster 3G network in Slovenia and provides broadband mobile internet to over 90% of the population. Si.mobil’s network equipments are not only energy efficient but also designed to be easily upgradable to LTE. Many of the base stations in Si.mobile’s network are already ready for the implementation of LTE technology.

Si.mobil’s users can now use the Huawei E392USB modem and the new Mobilni internet 4G plan to experience the technology with speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s, says the operator.
