U.S. carrier Sprint has announced 20 new 4G LTE markets. Operator expects to cover 250 million people with 4G LTE by mid-year. Sprint today also announced Sprint Spark in Provo, Utah, and Trenton, N.J, as well as the upcoming availability of HD Voice.
The 20 new markets are Bakersfield, Calif.; Lancaster, Pa.; Omaha, Neb.; Shawnee, Okla.; Bridgeport/Stamford/Norwalk, Conn.; Mason City, Iowa; Peoria, Ill.; Trenton/Ewing, N.J.; El Centro, Calif.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Provo/Orem, Utah; Visalia/Porterville, Calif.; Hot Springs, Ark.; Nogales, Ariz.; Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla.; Willimantic, Conn.; Kenosha, Wis.; Ocean City, N.J.; Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Zanesville, Ohio.
Sprint Spark is available in the following 18 cities: Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Chicago; Dallas; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Fort Worth, Texas; Houston; Jacksonville, Fla.; Kansas City, Kan./Mo.; Los Angeles; Miami; New York; Philadelphia; Provo, Utah; Salt Lake City; San Antonio; Tampa, Fla; and Trenton, N.J.
HD Voice is also now available to customers in Provo, and will soon be available in Trenton.
