Vodafone has announced that it’s LTE network is operational with total of nine sites in five states.

Vodafone has announced that it’s LTE network is operational with total of nine sites in five states. In the second half of November Vodafone plans to launch mobile broadband coverage in all states with white patches.

Vodafone expects to be able to offer LTE devices in December. The around twenty base stations  were activated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, Saxony, North Rhine Westphalia and Bavaria.

The new hardware for Internet use will be shipping in December, company said in statement.The target is to activate around 1,500 locations with LTE by the end of March 2011.
