Russian operator Scartel (brand Yota) has announced that it has built 4G LTE network in Kazan.
According to the director general of the Scartel, Denis Sverdlov, company has installed around 150 base stations. Investment in the project amounted to $20 million.
Yota received absolutely unequalled support from Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, in Kazan during the launch of pilot project on testing new technologies. Due to this backing it took only two months for Yota to deploy the network in Kazan, said company in a press statement.
