Mobile service provider, Zain Kuwait is experimenting with LTE and have achived 150 mb/s download speed. According to company, tests were performed in well studied working environment and within the limits of specific criteria.
Zain claims to be the first telecommunications company to announce introducing this advanced network in the State of Kuwait, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication.
” It is well known that “Zain” always seeks the latest telecommunications technology, and therefore is keen to be the first company to provide high speed internet via its network as the latest in Kuwait, via the experimental transmission of LTE network. This will provide our customers with the experience of downloading mega files, surfing the internet and e-mail, telecommunication, in addition to downloading songs, video clips, and even watching live transmission of TV channels and listen to radio stations on the internet.” said Mr. Khaled Al-Omar, CEO of Zain-Kuwait.
The company stated that its network now enjoys the latest international standards, particularly in the process of data transfer, referring that the process of modernizing, developing and expanding the network.
Building on this, the company commenced the experimental transmission on the LTE, being the first telecommunication company to announce the testing on this developed network in the State of Kuwait.
Earlier in March this year, Zain Bahrain announced first LTE call by achieving a download data speed of 70 Mbps.
