October 28, 2009 | A new survey by the Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) confirms there are 42 LTE network commitments in 21 countries.

October 28, 2009 | A new survey by the Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) confirms there are 42 LTE network commitments in 21 countries. As per GSA a concise update of the business drivers, objectives and targets for LTE – Long Term Evolution and SAE – System Architecture Evolution, now standardized by 3GPP and soon to enter commercial service, including network operator commitments and deployment/launch plans, trials, device/platforms availability, agreement on licensing IPR, performance and interoperability trials results, spectrum requirements and actions, and progress concerning the future evolution of LTE for consideration for the ITU IMT-Advanced standard.

This report also provides information about the prospects for TD-LTE. An update on the work of LSTI is also provided
