Alcatel-Lucent has deployed a 4G LTE network for Setar, a telecommunications service provider on the Caribbean island of Aruba. The deployment makes use of 20 MHz of spectrum in the 1800MHz frequency band.
Alcatel-Lucent has deployed a 4G LTE network for Setar, a telecommunications service provider on the Caribbean island of Aruba. The deployment makes use of 20 MHz of spectrum in the 1800MHz frequency band. Setar has also deployed small cells in strategic locations around the island to increase indoor access to Setar’s 3G (WCDMA) network.
Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE Solution deployment includes lightRadio™ LTE RAN operating at 1800MHz; Evolved Packet Core (EPC) including the P-Gateway, S-Gateway and MME; Subscriber Data Manager; lightRadio small cells.
Setar will deliver ultra-broadband mobile access to Aruba, a 33 kilometer-long island in the southern Caribbean with a population of over 100,000.
