T-Mobile launches the commercial LTE service in Hungary

T-Mobile (Magyar Telekom Group) has launched the 4G LTE based mobile internet service in Hungary.

T-Mobile (Magyar Telekom Group) has launched the 4G LTE based mobile internet service in Hungary. The LTE service became available in most parts of 10 Budapest districts on January 1. 

Operator plans to continue development of the network intensively in 2012 also. According to plans the service provider will expand coverage to the whole area of Budapest in 2012.

The service requires the use of the Net&Roll 4G mobile internet package and the LTE enabled mobile internet stick. The Net&Roll 4G package may be ordered with a discount of HUF 2000 from the monthly charge for HUF 9.900 with new or expired subscriptions. The package offers 40 GB data usage. 

Earlier, operator did the extended three-month network testing, in which several hundreds of residential, SME and large customers and employees were involved. It was closed at the end of the year.
