TELUS Adds New LTE Markets in Canada

Canadian operator TELUS has launched its LTE wireless network in several communities over the course of the past couple of weeks. Operator opened LTE network in Manitoba for the first time with initial launch in downtown Winnipeg.

Canadian operator TELUS has launched its LTE wireless network in several communities over the course of the past couple of weeks. Operator opened LTE network in Manitoba for the first time with initial launch in downtown Winnipeg. TELUS’ LTE service now covers more than 70 per cent of the Canadian population across approximately 170 markets.

The newly added markets are Sydney, Nova Scotia; Corner Brook, Newfoundland; Conception Bay, Newfoundland; Parry Sound, Ontario; Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; Prince Albert, Yorkton and Weyburn, Saskatchewan; Brockville, Ganonoque, Prescott, Ontario; Chatham, Tillsonburg, Grand Bend and Stratford.

Operator is already offering a number of popular LTE capable devices to its customers such as the recently launched Samsung GALAXY S4, BlackBerry Q10, HTC One, and BlackBerry Z10. Other LTE-enabled devices in TELUS’ lineup include: Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung GALAXY Note II, Samsung Rugby LTE, Samsung ATIV S, LG Optimus G, HTC One X+, as well as the Huawei E397 4G LTE Mobile Internet Key and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE
