iBasis and International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS), the international wholesale arm of Deutsche Telekom, have announced an LTE Roaming peering agreement that will benefit mobile network operator (MNO) customers of both companies..
The new agreement leverages the companies’ existing GRX peering agreement, as well as each company’s IP eXchange (IPX). The global IPX ecosystem continues to grow as an increasing number of interconnected operators add value to their propositions by utilizing IPX-enabled components, including Signaling/S6a, Data/S8 and VoLTE, to deliver a complete LTE Roaming solution.
The iBasis LTE Signaling eXchange (LSX) service provides a single point of access to iBasis’ live 4G (LTE) signaling network with Diameter Routing Agents in key locations around the world. Through direct connections to many mobile operators’ LTE networks and through peerings with other providers, iBasis delivers a global LTE Roaming footprint that today reaches more than 60 LTE networks.
