dtac Launches LTE in Thailand with Ericsson

dtac TriNet has announced the launch of LTE network for its users in Thailand. dtac TriNet, a subsidiary of Thailand’s mobile operator dtac, has selected Ericsson to deploy a 4G/LTE network. The LTE rollout began in February 2014 and is being deployed in on 2100MHz frequency band.

With LTE deployment, dtac TriNet will ensure improved network capacity and enhanced performance in Bangkok. dtac is one of the leading mobile operators in Thailand with approximately 27.9 million subscribers. 

According to Ericsson, company is the sole supplier for User Data Management, Evolved Packet Core and circuit core solutions. Ericsson further adds that it has delivered more than 180 LTE RAN and Evolved Packet Core networks worldwide, of which more than 120 have gone live commercially.
