Telefónica Peru and Ericsson are jointly implementing a project to provide internet access via 4G/LTE to governmental entities, such as schools and healthcare centers, in the Peruvian Amazon during 2015.
This project in Latin America will use 4G technology as fixed wireless internet access in remote rural areas with difficult geography, such as that of the Amazonian jungle.
According to Ericsson, it has delivered more than 200 LTE RAN and Evolved Packet Core networks worldwide, of which more than 150 are live commercially.
