TeliaSonera signs for first 4G modems with 3G/2G

April 1, 2010 – TeliaSonera have secured deliveries from Samsung for 4G/LTE modems with support for 3G and 2G during the second quarter 2010.

April 1, 2010 – TeliaSonera have secured deliveries from Samsung for 4G/LTE modems with support for 3G and 2G during the second quarter 2010. TeliaSonera was the first operator in the world to launch commercial 4G services in 2009. The extensive 4G network roll out continues in 25 cities in Sweden and 4 cities in Norway during 2010.

The new 4G modem with support for 3G/2G makes mobile broadband services even easier to use. Samsung will deliver large volumes of the new 4G modems during the second quarter 2010 for customers in Sweden and Norway.

TeliaSonera launched 4G in Stockholm and Oslo in December 2009. Swedish and Norwegian customers enjoy mobile broadband speed up to 100 Mbit/s.
