U.S. wireless service provider, C Spire Wireless plans to introduce LTE services in in south Alabama and northwest Florida this fall. In addition operator will expand its LTE services in Mississippi this year. The company plans to continue the roll out of LTE network beginning in August to new areas that cover 5,993 square miles and 205 cell sites across the Mississippi state.
The company will roll out 4G LTE services in areas of south Alabama and northwest Florida that cover 2,899 square miles, a population of 687,000 and more than 145 cell sites. When completed in November, the new service will provide consumers and businesses in 21 cities and six counties.
C Spire introduced LTE services last year in 37 Mississippi markets covering 2,700 square miles, a population of 1.2 million and 388 cell sites. Company plans to expand in 71 cities and 51 counties in Mississippi covering a population of nearly a half million. 4G LTE service will be available to nearly six out of every 10 consumers and businesses in the state when the latest phase is completed this year.
