BASE Company Launches LTE Network in Belgium

Belgium’s mobile operator BASE Company has launched 4G LTE network in country. BASE customers can now use 4G in 15 cities. According to operator, more cities will be added soon. BASE customers with an unlimited tariff plan as of B-39 are automatically offered 4G in their existing package.

Belgium’s mobile operator BASE Company has launched 4G LTE network in country. BASE customers can now use 4G in 15 cities. According to operator, more cities will be added soon. BASE customers with an unlimited tariff plan as of B-39 are automatically offered 4G in their existing package.

4G Network is launched in 15 large and medium-sized cities: Aalst, Antwerp, Beveren, Bruges, Charleroi, Genk, Ghent, Hasselt, Kortrijk, Leuven, Liège, Mechelen, Namur, Ostend and Sint-Truiden.

Earlier this year BASE Company already accelerated its 3G network by introducing the dual carrier technology, with theoretical speeds up to 42 Mbps. Currently, 3G Dual Carrier network covers 83% of the Belgians .In the coming months, alongside the on-going 4G rollout, BASE Company also intends to further improve its 3G network.
