Max Telecom Selects Nokia Siemens Networks as Main Supplier for LTE Equipment

Bulgarian telecom operator Max Telecom has picked Nokia Siemens Networks as the main vendor to provide equipment for its LTE network. Operator plans to launch LTE mobile internet services in Q4 2013.

Bulgarian telecom operator Max Telecom has picked Nokia Siemens Networks as the main vendor to provide equipment for its LTE network. Operator plans to launch LTE mobile internet services in Q4 2013.

Operator will roll-out the network in the 1800MHz range. 

Nokia Siemens Networks will deploy Evolved Packet Core and radio infrastructure, including LTE base stations, in addition to the existing Max Telecom WiMax network, which will allow the two networks to work in parallel and enable the carrier to offer a wider range of internet products.
