Tele2 Extends LTE coverage in Estonia

Estonian mobile operator Tele2 has extended its LTE network to Tartu in addition to Tallinn and its surrounding area. Operator expects to build new 4G base stations all over Estonia in the coming years and plans to increase its LTE coverage further this year, to Narva and Kohtla-Jarve. 

Estonian mobile operator Tele2 has extended its LTE network to Tartu in addition to Tallinn and its surrounding area. Operator expects to build new 4G base stations all over Estonia in the coming years and plans to increase its LTE coverage further this year, to Narva and Kohtla-Jarve. 

Tele2 launched LTE services in Tallinn and its vicinity in November 2012. Operator had selected Nokia Siemens Networks as the supplier of the operator’s 4G, LTE radio and core network in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
