AT&T has announced the details of initial commercial LTE roll out. Operator will start LTE services this summer in five markets – Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and San Antonio.
AT&T also plans to add another 10 or more markets in the second half of the year, and cover 70 million Americans with LTE by year-end. Operator also has plans to add 20 4G devices this year, with some of those being LTE capable.
Company has invested $75 billion in wireless and wired networks over the last four years and plans to invest $19 billion in wireless and wireline networks and other capital projects this year.
