T-Mobile Czech Republic has launched commercial LTE network in Prague and Mlada Boleslav. The operator has also extended LTE coverage of the Czech Republic’s capital – 26% of its territory (mainly in the Prague 4 district) and 33% of its population is now covered with this network.
T-Mobile Czech Republic has launched commercial LTE network in Prague and Mlada Boleslav. The operator has also extended LTE coverage of the Czech Republic’s capital – 26% of its territory (mainly in the Prague 4 district) and 33% of its population is now covered with this network.
According to operator, by the end of the year, roughly one half of Prague’s population should be covered. Further development of LTE is closely linked with the outcome of the upcoming spectrum auction.
LTE service is accessible to all T-Mobile customers who have an activated data plan, are in a location covered by the LTE network and have an LTE-enabled device. T-Mobile’s LTE network is available to a number of smartphones, tablets and modems – for example the Sony Xperia Z1, BlackBerry Q10, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s models.
The maximum download speed of 100 Mbps and upload speed of 37.5 Mbps will be available with the Mobilni internet (“Mobile Internet”) 10GB and higher plans and the S nami bez hranic/ S nami bez hranic+ (With us without Borders/With us without Borders+) plans. In the case of the other new-generation plans, the maximum download and upload speeds in the LTE network will be 42 Mbps and 5.76 Mbps respectively.
